The Applications Engineering Intern will support the development, setup, and validation of semiconductor test solutions based on Aemulus test platforms. Under the guidance of senior Applications Engineers, the intern will assist in test program development, application tools development, test hardware bring-up, and system verification activities.

This role provides hands-on exposure to ATE systems, semiconductor test methodologies, and customer-facing engineering workflows. The intern will collaborate closely with internal engineering teams and gain practical experience across the full project lifecycle—from initial test planning to system commissioning and documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and modifying test programs or application tools based on provided specifications and test plans.
  • Support DUT board bring-up, basic schematic review and test interface verifications
  • Work with R&D and Applications teams to understand product features and customer use cases.
  • Provide feedback from hands-on testing to senior engineers to support product improvement initiatives.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and demonstrate initiative in learning and problem-solving
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining technical documentation, such as: Application notes, Test setup guides, Training materials, and Demo instructions.
  • Help organise test data, results, and presentations for internal or customer use.Support additional related tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of analog and digital electronics.
  • Interest in semiconductor devices, ATE systems, or IC testing.
  • Exposure to programming or scripting (C, C++, C#, Python, or similar).
  • Basic knowledge of circuit schematics, measurements, and lab instruments (DMM, power supply, oscilloscope).
  • Hardware or board-level circuit design experience
  • Strong willingness to learn and ability to follow structured engineering guidance.
  • Good problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
  • Ability to document work clearly and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Mandarin proficiency will be an advantage (for documentation review and technical communication).
