About the role

ERIKS is looking for a committed Sales & Application Engineer to join our team in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. This full-time position plays a key role in supporting our customers and delivering practical engineering solutions within the mechanical engineering sector.

What you'll be doing

  1. Develop, promote, and drive sales for ERIKS' product range, including growing new business and maintaining existing accounts across Malaysia.
  2. Review and manage incoming inquiries from MRO/OEM and project customers.
  3. Work closely with internal teams to prepare quotations, process orders, coordinate logistics, and handle quality matters while keeping customers updated.
  4. Stay well-informed on market conditions, potential opportunities, and competitive threats.
  5. Apply strong sales and technical knowledge to persuade and advise customers effectively.
  6. Balance expectations between customers and principals to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
  7. Lead and guide the sales team—driving performance, developing capabilities, and achieving revenue targets.
  8. Assign and manage customer portfolios to meet annual goals and budget requirements.
  9. Provide timely updates and presentations on sales activities to your immediate supervisor.
  10. Execute business strategies and sales plans set by the Management.
  11. Adhere to all ERIKS Safety Standards and Corporate Compliance requirements.
  12. Undertake any other duties or projects assigned by your supervisor.

What we're looking for

  1. At least a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  2. Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar engineering role, preferably within the mechanical engineering industry.
  3. Strong technical knowledge with solid understanding of engineering principles, design, and problem-solving.
  4. Confident communicator with good interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers and internal teams.
  5. Able to work independently as well as collaborate with the team to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  6. Willing to travel to customer sites when required.
