You will have an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to Thermal design pertaining to HVAC, CRAC, Inrow, Liquid Cooling & Chiller in Asia markets.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director, Centralized Bid Management & Pre-Sales Application Engineering this position presents an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional pertaining to thermal design and controls engineering functions of thermal management system and solution. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• In depth review of tender information including specifications, single line diagrams and quotations to ensure compliance with customer requirements
• Provide technical advice on Vertiv product application and selection to Asia Market Sales Units.
• Provide engineering design and installation of Thermal product, particularly in Data Center environment and others such as Light industrial and Lab.
• Write technical proposals, give a design presentation and provide engineering drawings in AutoCAD.
• Generate Bill of Quantity and technical specification for proposed design
• Maintain the drawings (soft/hard copies), catalogues, white papers, application and technical reference materials to ensure that they are updated, orderly and readily accessible.
• Work with the Bid Management Team (pricing & sales) to ensure a design has been created that is cost effective while it meets customer's requirements and is optimized as design for manufacturing.
• Promote a work approach of proactiveness, keeping up to date the knowledge and application of company products/services and other related services, while continually pursuing self/personal development by self-analysis, reading, benchmarking against the best in the industry and practice.
• Perform Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling to simulate fluid flow and heat transfer process.
• Analyze CFD simulation results to provide insights and recommendations for design improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to integrate CFD analysis into project development and optimization.

Required Knowledge, Experience, Skills, and Abilities

Proven exposure and track record as follows:

• Display a proactive flexible approach to working within a team environment.
• University/College Degree or professional qualification in Mechanical Engineering. Major in Refrigeration, or HVAC is preferable.
• Minimum 1~2 years' experience in related application & technical field. Experience with Data Center / CRAC units.
• Understanding the Data Center Standard has added advantages (uptime, BICSI, DCDC, TIA).
• Ability to work effectively and diligently as an individual and team member.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• AutoCAD design skills and CFD (Computer Fluid Dynamic) simulation skill is added advantages.
