About the role

MILDEF INTERNATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES SDN BHD is seeking a talented Powertrain Engineer to join our team in Bandar Sri Sendayan, Negeri Sembilan. As a Powertrain Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development and optimisation of our innovative automotive powertrain systems. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the growth of our business within the Automotive Engineering industry.

What you'll be doing

1. Designing, developing and testing powertrain systems, including engines, transmissions, drive trains and related components
2. Conducting research and analysis to identify opportunities for improving powertrain efficiency, performance and reliability
3. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate powertrain solutions into vehicle designs
4. Ensuring powertrain systems meet or exceed industry standards, regulations and customer requirements
5. Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to powertrain systems
6. Documenting and reporting on project progress, findings and recommendations

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in powertrain engineering, preferably in the automotive industry
3. Proficient in CAD software, simulation tools and data analysis techniques
4. Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
5. Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams
6. Familiarity with industry standards, regulations and best practices related to automotive powertrain systems
