Role Overview

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Junior Video Editor to join our growing team. In this role, you will support the senior editorial team in assembling recorded footage into a finished project that matches the director's vision and is suitable for broadcasting.

Key Responsibilities

As a Junior Video Editor, your primary goal is to assist the post-production team while honing your craft. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Footage Management: Ingest, organize, and log raw footage and assets. Ensure all files are properly named and stored according to company protocols.
  • Assembly & Editing: Create rough cuts and assemble edits for various content formats (social media reels, YouTube long-form, corporate interviews, ads).
  • Social Media Optimization: Re-cut and resize long-form content into short, engaging clips optimized for XHS (Rednote), Facebook, Instagram & Tiktok.
  • Basic Post-Production: Apply basic colour correction, audio mixing, and sound design to enhance production value.
  • Graphics & Titles: Add subtitles, lower thirds, and basic motion graphics
  • Collaboration: Work closely with creative team to brainstorm ideas and implement feedback efficiently.
  • Quality Control: Review final exports for errors, glitches, or audio issues before delivery.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 0–2 years of experience in video editing, fresh graduates are welcome.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Film, Media, Communications, or a relevant portfolio demonstrating equivalent skills.
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Basic understanding of Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Media Encoder.
  • Soft Skills: Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.

Nice-to-Haves (Bonus Skills)

  • Experience with motion graphics or 2D animation.
  • Knowledge of current social media trends and viral video formats.
  • Basic camera operation skills (videography).
  • Basic understanding of Xiaohongshu (Rednote) & Facebook marketing.
