About the role

As an Account Officer at MALPAKAT GROUP SDN BHD, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the company's financial records and ensuring accurate and timely accounting processes. What you'll be doing

  1. Performing day-to-day accounting tasks, including managing accounts receivable and payable, processing invoices, and reconciling bank statements
  2. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies
  3. Assisting in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and other financial documentation as required
  4. Providing support to the finance team and collaborating with other departments to ensure efficient financial operations
  5. Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing strategies to enhance the overall financial management of the organisation

What we're looking for

  1. Relevant qualification in accounting or a related field
  2. At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar accounts officer or accounting clerk role
  3. Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical and analytical skills
  4. Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and achieve financial objectives
