Due to the aggressive development of the business, they are looking for a Manager, Governance & Advisory to further add value to the business from a governance perspective.

Job Description

As this role is essential to the organization, it is vital candidate comes with a track record of delivery and proven experience. Among the many responsibilities are listed below:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide governance oversight and related advisory to the management and business units, to ensure adherence to relevant policies and regulations.
  • Undertake assessments and reviews in a context of governance and controls to facilitate identification and mitigation of control gaps, as and when required.
  • Review, maintain and enhance the Discretionary Authority Limits ("DAL").
  • Provide oversight and advisory on the application and enforcement of DAL across the company.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to establish and maintain data protection governance and controls with reference to the relevant policies, regulations, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Legal and relevant stakeholders to assess and maintain PDPA governance and controls.
  • Review and advise on the Terms of Reference for relevant board and management committees.
  • Collaborate with business units and risk owners to advise on risk governance exposure as part of risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
  • Perform continual review, research, and benchmarking exercises to support governance expectations and requirements of the company.
  • Foster a culture of risk governance and awareness throughout the organisation through communications, workshops, training sessions, and informal/formal engagements, etc.
  • Assess and enhance relevant governance and risk frameworks to ensure that the company keeps abreast with the evolving business contexts and regulatory changes.

The ideal Manager, Governance & Advisory will be confident in leading from the front and be responsible for the growth of the company and must possess the below requirements;

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related discipline, preferably with certification in Risk Management.
  • 6 - 8 years' experience, with 3 - 4 years' experience in risk management and/or governance.
  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills as well as a strong command in written and spoken English.
  • High integrity and credibility with effective stakeholder management capabilities, good analytical skills and sound knowledge of enterprise risk management, governance, and controls.
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about risk governance and resilience and embedding risk awareness culture across the organisation with courage and conviction to manage challenges.
  • A strong drive for success and result-oriented individual with ability to work independently and in a collaborative manner.
