- Identify and recommend effective workflow/process improvements for overall effectiveness and efficiency of the department’s operation.
- Assist the Finance Manager in spearheading the purchasing process from selecting suppliers to ensuring stock optimization, as well as provide guidance on sourcing and procurement processes.
- Be a supply chain and logistics expert specializing in implementing cost-effective purchases of all goods and services, ensuring quality control and adherence to the company’s policies and procedures on supply chain management.
- Keep company confidential information and follow the code of conduct.
Scope of Duties:
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice procurement vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
- Develop a project plan, strategy, and system support for the execution of procurement functions.
- Perform all procurement activities including pre-qualification, negotiating supplier agreements, preparation of contracts, and tender management.
- Lead a team, delegate tasks, and supervise the work of procurement staff to ensure service levels to end users.
- Identify areas for improvement to continually drive performance and business results.
- Manage overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of procurement for the organization.
- Create policies and procedures for risk management and mitigation.
- Ensure that purchasing policies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality, and delivery targets, enabling the company to function and compete effectively in the market.
- Manage vendor database with updated price lists, lead times, payment terms, etc.
- Review pricing master for respective suppliers’ accounts.
- Negotiate and administer purchasing contracts.
- Manage cost saving, budgeting, and targeting according to business goals.
- Negotiate, optimize, and manage payment terms.
- Manage procurement and purchasing team to ensure service levels to end users.
- Provide reports to serve management decision-making.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties & responsibilities that may be needed or assigned by superior as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
