Randstad is partnering with a reputable group, Listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia, specialising in fashion retail. In light of an expansion to their finance team, the team is looking to hire a Group Accountant to join them in their office in Selangor. Reporting to the CFO, the role encompasses of oversee, manage, and lead the Group's accounting and financial reporting functions, Bursa reporting and group consolidation.

about the job

  • Prepare monthly group management accounts with fluctuation analysis promptly and accurately.
  • Prepare quarterly consolidation and reports for Bursa Malaysia announcements on time.
  • Assist in the Group's budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Liaise with external auditors for annual audits and ensure timely issuance of audited financial statements.
  • Coordinate and prepare the Group's Annual Report on time.
  • Ensure timely submission of tax returns for the company and subsidiaries.
  • Oversee and coordinate the Group's Transfer Pricing documentation.
  • Contribute to establishing, reviewing, and updating group accounting policies and procedures in line with business changes and financial reporting standards.
  • Liaise with internal audit on subsidiaries' quarterly reports.
  • Assist in improving accounting systems and processes.
  • Analyze monthly business unit results and provide recommendations to enhance operational efficiency.

requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, ACCA, CPA, MICPA, or CIMA required.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, must have prior experience preparing group consolidation and Bursa reports.
  • Audit background is required; retail industry experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to prepare, check, and balance financial transactions and accounts.
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS/MFRS accounting standards
  • Proficient in ERP or Accounting software.
