What will I be doing? 

As the Commis I, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: 

Provide guests and team member with efficient and affordable food prepared according to standard recipes and food hygiene standards.  Support the kitchen supervisor in kitchen operations to ensure efficient service delivery.  Prepare food for guests and team member according to standard recipe cards, strictly in accordance with the recipe, standard and plating standards.  Operate all equipment, appliances and machines properly. Maintain a professional and positive attitude towards colleagues and supervisors, acting in accordance with hotel rules and employee manuals, ensuring good departmental operations.  Attend and actively participate in all training sessions.  Understand, practice and promote the team's working methods at all times to achieve the mission and objectives and the overall standards of the department.  Have a clear understanding of the hotel's fire and life safety / emergency procedures.  Requirements

What are we looking for? 

A Commis I serving Hilton Brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow: 

High school or equivalent, preferably from a professional culinary school.  At least 2 years kitchen cooking and cold dish making experience.  Able to consume all products and ingredients reasonably.  Ability to complete tasks on time in order of priority.  Work well under pressure, able to stay calm and solve problems.  Have the knowledge of Asian and Western cuisine, high efficiency and high quality to complete the job.  Have a food handling certificate & typhoid injection certificate. Knowledge of food safety systems.
