Purpose Statement

 

The role of Compliance Associate is to provide compliance advice and support to franchises across the APAC Boston Scientific business. In this role, you will oversee the review and approval process of the company’s interactions with healthcare professionals across the region to ensure local and corporate compliance policy requirements are met and adhered to.

You will be required to liaise with multiple stakeholders including sales and marketing teams, Asia Pacific countries leadership, functional teams and the company’s global legal and compliance team. You will also play a key role in implementing and continuously enhancing the Asia Pacific compliance program.

This position will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It will be part of a newly launched Asia Pacific Compliance Centre of Excellence, within Boston Scientific’s growing Asia Pacific Legal & Compliance organization.

 

Roles & responsibilities

  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of internal compliance policies and industry code of practice across APAC.
  • Coordinate with business functions, franchises, global compliance, and external stakeholders to ensure compliance to policies.
  • Implement, maintain and enhance Boston Scientific’s compliance review and monitoring process of interactions with healthcare professionals across APAC to ensure compliance to company policies.
  • Perform risk analysis on findings across APAC and work with local stakeholders to develop, implement remediation plans and monitor to ensure effectiveness of the program.
  • Identify gaps in current processes, develop solutions to enhance the APAC compliance program by collaborating with local and global compliance team.
  • Learn, understand and keep current with the various APAC medical device industry standards.

 

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a compliance audit, assessments, and monitoring role any field
  • Experience in healthcare / life sciences industry will be advantage.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them to practical situations.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey compliance requirements to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities, with the capability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using software MS Office
