Pfizer Global Supply proudly shoulders the responsibility of manufacturing and distributing our wide-ranging pharmaceutical products.
This role is responsible for providing EHS, Business Continuity, and Risk Management oversight, tools, templates, and training for GSC sites within the APAC Region of Pfizer.
The purpose of this role is to ensure compliance with local, regional, and national regulations/Pfizer requirements and to enable GSC sites to limit the risk of business interruptions impacting customer supply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the EHS, RM, and BC SME to support program understanding and compliance across the GSC APAC Region.
- Provide training on EHS, Risk Management & BC regulations and Pfizer requirements across the APAC Regional Network.
- Conduct effective EHS, RM & BC compliance audits/assessments and corresponding action plans to ensure Regional Network compliance.
- Provide EHS, RM & BC SME support and rationale during contract negotiations with suppliers.
- Support sites before, during, and after EHS & BC audits, RM Loss Prevention Surveys, regulatory reviews, and during acquisitions or divestitures.
Requirements:
- 7 years EHS experience, at least 4 in pharmaceutical industry and/or logistics.
- BA Degree.
- Fluent in English (other languages are a plus).
- Ability to work with and influence Senior Leadership, as well as, external Regulators.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of Country specific and international regulations (APAC Region).
- Proficient in basic computer skills – Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of Business Continuity Programs, Risk Management Practices, and Fire Protection Systems.
- Familiarity with the hazards presented by pharmaceutical products and associated packaging.
- Basic knowledge of logistics and supply chain functions and activities.
- Experience working in multiple regions and/or globally; awareness of the impacts of cultural differences when working internationally.
Work Environment:
- Office position with ~30% travel.
- On call due to nature of EHS and International responsibilities.
- Willing to work non-APAC hours to align with Global locations.
- Ability to wear site required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed.
- Ability to conduct assessments/audits of outdoor equipment and facilities in all types of environmental conditions.
