We are looking for a talented full-time Director of Corporate Finance/Treasury to join our growing team. He/she will take charge of all aspects of corporate financing including treasury, debt financing, cash flow, and group funding strategy.

As the Director of Corporate Finance, he is responsible for structuring and managing funding transactions within the Group Treasury function. This includes coordination with Operating Companies on their banking/funding requirements and sourcing for the most efficient and effective funding structure. He/She is results-oriented and meticulous in delivering reports on the organisation's position to stakeholders. He/She is expected to have a good sense of local and global regulatory requirements and opportunities in the market. He/She is skilled at managing and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, especially with financial institutions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the CFO in the development of Treasury functional strategy.
  • Monitor the Groups investments to maintain liquidity, control risk and interest rate sensitivity, and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain the Group's secured and unsecured funding programs and assist group companies to negotiate the most competitive terms from banks.
  • Maintain relationships and conduct negotiations with the organization's bankers.
  • Monitor and ensure that group companies are in compliance with Group Policies and Financial Management Disciplines.

Operations Related

1. Manage funding strategy

  • Support the CFO in the management of the Groups funding plans and analysis of intragroup funding requirements.
  • Conduct Cost Benefit Analysis to assess proposed transactions to determine if it would meet the Groups target funding structure.
  • Produce analysis of emerging trends in financial markets which could impact the Groups funding strategy and plans.
  • Monitor covenant compliance and management information for funding transactions.
  • Assist with loan documentation for funding requirements and liaise with Group Legal and borrowing companies to negotiate acceptable terms with banks.
  • Process requests from investors, either during the marketing phase of new transactions or post-closing.

2. Engage and manage stakeholders

  • Develop reports and briefings for senior management, highlighting operational activities/outcomes, identifying risks and recommending proposed solutions.
  • Ensure recommendations align with Groups funding strategies.
  • Build and cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as rating agencies, regulators, investors, and domestic and international financial institutions.
  • Collaborate with internal functions for treasury-related initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in treasury management, with a focus on structuring and managing funding transactions.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and risk management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze emerging trends in financial markets and make informed recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
