Job Role
The Director, Data, Insights and Analytics is to drive implementation of data-driven strategies to enhance ICS Risk Management processes and provide best in class analytics support.
Key Responsibilities
Driving the Data, Insights and Analytics initiatives within ICS Risk. Oversee the creation and consistent implementation of Data, Insights and Analytics best practices throughout the ICS Risk. Cooperation with other Data, Insights and Analytics teams to align approaches within the Bank Facilitate workshops / meetings with ICS Risk Teams to identify business requirements for ICS Risk tools / solutions. Evaluate current and emerging BI industry trends and best practices when designing BI solutions. Plan custom application lifecycle management for embedded solutions. Manage the development and implementation of dedicated ICS Risk tools / solutions. Serve as the primary point of contact across the ICS for the functional analysis and development of dedicated support tools / solutions. Provide guidance to direct reports, including associate director and analysts.Strategy
Promote a business intelligence and analytics culture and use of analytics as a common language across ICS Risk; support embedding of data science principles and development of analytical capabilities throughout the function. Promote and deliver on standardised approach to business intelligence and analytics between ICS Risk and other functions. Cooperate with key stakeholders to provide tailored tools and solutions that set the ICS Risk for success. Deliver the implementation of business intelligence and analytics solutions to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of ICS Risk Management. Provide education and training to the overall ICS Risk function to educate colleagues on the latest developments and overall best practices and methodologies.Business
Acting as a Senior Management and Business Liaison - as data, insights & analytics expert in discussions with the executive team, board members and the business, providing strategic insights from a technical business support perspective. Support in defining measures of success of the Data, Insights & Analytics Team and how the Team contributes to the overall success of the ICS Risk function.Processes
Engage with key stakeholders across the ICS Risk, gather requirements and ensure that required data is available. Oversee the development of tools / solutions in compliance with gathered requirements and using provided data. Oversee implemented tools / solutions to ensure their relevance and usefulness for stakeholders, including data validation and performance optimisation. Driving the operational efficiency and process improvement through business intelligence and analytics as well as process automations and other improvements. Support in creating a culture of habitual innovation within the ICS Risk function.People and Talent
Provide proactive self-orienting and self-motivating leadership. Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Provide strong leadership, management and coaching over colleague(s). Work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to enhance the quality and timely delivery of agreed book of work.Risk Management
Understand the Bank’s regulatory framework and regulatory requirements / expectations. Learn and understand the ICS Risk Management approach. Work closely with stakeholders to conform to required global standards and improve the overall risk management approach. Proactively manage risks and establish / monitor controls related to Data, Insights and Analytics remit.Governance
Ensure, lead and monitor strict adherence to regulatory and business requirements. Establish strong ties into the relevant business lines governance, risk, and control tools / solutions and data sources to ensure adequate development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of new tools / solutions and the highest possible value added. Provide constant challenge to increase the overall effectiveness and efficiency and where appropriate, follow up in proposing, developing and implementing changes using business intelligence and analytics. Provide timely and accurate data analytics / insights to key stakeholders.Regulatory and Business Conduct

Desired
Tertiary qualifications (minimum Diploma) in Computer Science, Risk and Control, or other relevant areas. Excellent organizational and leadership skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines and effectively prioritise. Strong sense of personal ownership and responsibility in accomplishing the organisation’s goal. Able to get things done in a quick-paced environment. Be transparent and open around what doesn’t work and what does. Excellent communication and briefing skills at senior executive and board level – oral, written and presentation; technical reporting writing across various types of target audiences. Highly entrepreneurial with a high level of energy, dedication, and an unrelenting drive to deliver value. Excellent understanding and proven track record of implementation of solutions using Business Intelligence platforms such as MicroStrategy, Power BI, Tableau, etc.Role Specific Technical Competencies
