Overview

This role will be responsible for daily operations of total 3 Quaker comans and 1 stax coman (located in Msia), ensure delivering 98% service level to 12 markets. This job is also accountable for ensuring adherence to commercial deadlines for new product introduction/new label via collating with project teams. Incumbent needs to be always proactively looking and driving process improment and ensure co-man adhering to the submission of service level scorecard and materials inventory control report.

Assist in Quaker coman in PH if required.

Take a lead role as center of oats strategy planning among the Quaker co-mans in the region, and manage the complexity of getting the oats from 2 sources in Australia.

Responsibilities

Day to day activities

Ensure 98% service level achieved for all co-mans. Consolidate and process orders, tracking order fulfilment and forecast accuracy. Define the way of working and have regular review session with new Stax plant in Malaysia to ensure orders & shipments being executed flawlessly. Regular review with the market supply chain to review the forecast before submissions and call out the risk or opportunity of supply contingency plan. Coordinating on supply planning of key raw ingredients / packaging materials with co-packer & MU to ensure healthy buffer level and no interruption to the production. Manage the co-packer plant capacity against order & forecast and highlighting the possible risk to direct manager. Ensure continuous reliable service of suppliers and provide solutions as and when issues/disputes arise. Collaborate with functional team such as GP, R&D, marketing, etc. on productivity and/or improvement projects which include supplier qualification and product trials. Take lead on the monthly oats strategy planning with all the Quaker co-mans and decide the oats allocation with supplier.

Project Management

Ensure seamless integration of new products into the Plant’s base replenishment process. Negotiate with co-man and suppliers on minimum run, lead-times, and coordinate on the documentations required for product registration. Lead the execution of new artwork development and communicating material run down plans with supplier/co-packer /MU to ensure meeting time-line and minimization of material write-off. Liaise between co-man, customer and forwarder to select the most appropriate vessel for shipments based on lead time and costing and other special requirements. Continuously seeking process improvement with co-man and key vendors to deliver the projects through shorten the timelines and eliminate non-value added tasks. Initiate and collaborate with Quaker co-mans and multiple functional team to plan/activate the BCP for the purpose of reduce supply risk which arised from covid pandemic.

AOP activities

Consolidate the oat demand consumption and work in breakdown by monthly level, schedule a discussion within supply chain group and propose buffer level in anticipation of supply risk. Submit and secure supply confirmation with GP and Quaker Perth, align on the sourcing strategy should there be any supply gap. Collaborate with GP on the AOP materials cost assumption Responsible for co-man short and long term capacity planning for Malaysia co-man. Responsible for Stax co-man short and long term capacity planning.

Reporting / Order management

Maintain a proper record of service level scorecard from the co-mans. Develop a service level scorecard with Stax co-man to monitor their service level. Provide support on the co-man data consolidation as and when it’s requested from Sector or Global level. Ensure co-mans are produced according to the requested date from all markets and provide support whenever is required to ensure closing done in time every month with the co-mans.
