Job Description

The Senior Oracle Applications Techno-functional consultant is primarily responsible for the design and development of technical/ configuration solutions for all Change Requests across Global Corporate Systems & Services (GCSS) for Oracle Financials modules. He/ She should ensure that projects/ change requests are delivered on time, to budget, and with the right quality, by involving in design reviews, code deployment, and systems testing etc. This role requires 50-50 involvement in functional and technical space.


Qualifications

  1. Required Knowledge / Skills / Experience:
    1. Degree preferably in Computer Science/ Software Engineering or MIS
    2. Oracle Applications R12 development experience
    3. Experience with Financials (AR, AP, GL, FA, CE, PO), Service Contracts, and Install Base
    4. Good understanding of statutory and regulatory reporting and process requirements
    5. Good understanding of IFRS requirements
    6. Solid experience creating, maintaining, enhancing, and tuning PL/SQL programs
    7. Oracle Forms, Reports and XMLP tool experience
    8. Oracle Workflow design and development experience
    9. Oracle Approvals Management (AME)
    10. Oracle Alerts
    11. Ability to create, extend, and deploy OA framework pages
    12. Ability to personalize Core and OAF pages
    13. Well-versed in Oracle AOL functionalities
    14. Unix Shell scripting experience
    15. Experience using version control and code promotion tools (SVN, ACMP, Jenkins)
    16. Experience of using incident and change tracking software
    17. At least 8-10 years of IT development experience on large Oracle ERP implementations or Support environments
    18. Ability to handle conflicting priorities
    19. Proven experience with offshore development
    20. Excellent Analytical skills
    21. Fast learner and ability to quickly adapt
    22. Self-motivated and pro-active
    23. Team player with abilities to work in complex cross-functional and geographically diverse teams
    24. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

      1. Provide leadership and direction to functional design and configuration in support of Experian’s global business processes
      2. Support the effort to build and update Experian’s global business processes
      3. Develop a deep understanding of global business processes and identify continuous improvement opportunities
      4. Interact with Subject matter experts (SME), Global process owners (GPO), and Business users to understand business requirements, provide definitive solutions

      6. Prepare configuration guides (BR100), business requirements (RD50), functional design (MD50( conversions (CV40), test scripts and training manuals
      7. Conduct Proof of concept (PoC) for new application modules and novel solutions being proposed
      8. Conduct impact analysis of a change e.g. patches, scripts, data fixes and change requests
      9. Identify and suggest technical and functional process improvements
      10. Generation of test plans for patches/break fixes/change requests to ensure their comprehensiveness and relevance.
      11. Guide development activities with collaboration of technical developers

 

    1. Responsibilities (Technical)
      1. Deliver technical RICEW components that follows Experian custom build standards, deliver to user expectations and perform within expected benchmark levels and Experian global processes
      2. Prepare technical design (MD70), Conversion (CV60), deployment (MD120) documents, and unit test scripts
      3. Work with the IT Functional team and Global SME teams to ensure deliveries meet expectations
      4. Responsible for deployment and release of technical changes, in all environments (DEV to PRODUCTION)
      5. Communicate well within the technical team to develop a full understanding of what is being build, and in sharing common RICEW objects
      6. Interface well with IT Functional, SME, and GPO teams during technical delivery / training, to maintain a consistently good service to our customers
      7. Provide help to the service management team when required, both in aiding problem solving and sharing of knowledge to continuously improve our service levels
      8. Perform code review for CRs delivered by technical team members
      9. Identify and advise delivery management leadership of new technology developments, trends and adaptations

 

    1. Responsibilities (Process)
      1. Fully understand and commit to GCSS SDLC and CR delivery process
      2. Provide effort estimates for change requests within established SLA
      3. Provide L3 approval for UAT and PRODUCTION deployment for CRs delivered by the delivery management team
      4. Conduct CR handover sessions to global service management teams
      5. Provide positive input to regular team meetings, to enhance both the quality of the application, and improve knowledge and expertise within the team
      6. Mentor, guide and provide assistance to team members on processes, scoping, designing solutions and technical expertise
