JOB OVERVIEW
The Manager, Business Development plays a crucial role in driving revenue growth and expanding the customer base. They conduct market research, generate leads, build relationships, and contribute to proposal development. The Manager collaborates with teams, engages in sales and negotiation, and supports market expansion. They also manage client relationships and contribute to reporting and analysis. Strong sales skills, market awareness, and analytical abilities are essential for success in this role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Major Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and executing the organization's business development strategy to drive revenue growth and expand the customer base. Collaborate with senior management to identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and industry trends evaluation to identify potential areas for business growth. Stay informed about market dynamics, customer needs, and emerging opportunities to provide insights for decisionmaking.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, partners, and key stakeholders. Engage in regular communication and networking to establish trust, understand client needs, and identify partnership opportunities.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop compelling business proposals and presentations tailored to meet client requirements. Effectively communicate the organization's value proposition and competitive advantages to win new business opportunities.
- Conduct sales presentations, engage in negotiations, and close deals to achieve revenue targets. Collaborate closely with the sales team to drive successful conversion of leads into customers.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for market expansion. Contribute to the evaluation of potential markets, assess risks and opportunities, and provide recommendations for market entry strategies.
- Cultivate strong relationships with existing clients to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty. Identify opportunities for upselling, crossselling, and repeat business. Address client concerns or issues promptly and maintain a customercentric approach.
- Track and analyze business development activities, sales performance, and market trends. Prepare regular reports and present findings to senior management. Utilize data insights to refine business development strategies and improve performance.
JOB REQUIREMENT
- A Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field is typically required. Relevant certifications or additional education are a plus. Previous experience in business development, sales, or a related role is preferred.
- Strong sales acumen and proven experience in lead generation, prospecting, and closing deals. Familiarity with business development strategies and techniques, including market research, relationship building, and proposal development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport, influence decisionmaking, and establish effective working relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders. Strong presentation skills to deliver compelling business proposals.
- A solid understanding of market dynamics, industry trends, and competitive landscape. Ability to gather market intelligence, assess opportunities and risks, and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Strong analytical skills to gather and interpret data, analyze market trends, and make datadriven decisions. Proactive problemsolving skills to overcome challenges and develop creative solutions.
- Selfmotivated and resultsoriented with a focus on achieving targets and driving business growth. Ability to work in a fastpaced, dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities effectively.
