Purpose & Scope


Ensuring high level of Learning & development initiatives to develop our people to continuously increase performance for the individual and the business in the region.

Regional L&D process owner, responsible for the implementation of regional Learning & Development agenda to meet the strategic needs of OPCOs present in a region; compliance to Group L&D standard and principles; continuous improvement, development and strengthening our learning & development and Performance Management process; Working with OPCO Business partner and managers, and provide support and guidance for Country and Local HR.

Main Tasks

2 Key Areas of Responsibilities*
L&D agenda:
  • Use the business planning and PM data to anticipate with a regional learning plan to secure adequate response and solutions. Translates OPCO HR strategy into specific L&D KPIs and deliverables.
  • Identify learning needs from Performance Development Plan (PDP) and input from OPCO HR related to Round-Table process (succession and Talent).
  • Ensures available L&D process/deliverables to enhance the competency & skills required to grow the businesses in the region.
  • Consolidate L&D budget based on OPCO need analysis

Global HR Processes:

  • Responsible for compliance with Global HR processes, Group HR Policies and principles, timely and qualitatively implementation of those in a region;
  • Support OPCO HR to break strategy into L&D, KPIs and deliverables e.g. how to turn investment in training into business growth;
  • Contribute to and implement Group guidelines and global processes, provides feedback to Group HR on regional L&D trends, limitations, possible solutions and courses of action.
  • Contributes to the yearly cycle with specific processes and projects in cooperation with relevant stakeholders in region and group.
  • Operational L&D:
  • Responsible for endtoend delivery of L&D programs for the region including working with providers, scheduling training, communication with HR partners, managers and program participants and managing program logistics.
  • Introduce and anchor the workplace learning in the regional L&D approach
  • Support the organizations in their implementation of existing training concepts and optimizing these according to needs.
  • Structure the support of effective learning and promote continuous competency development
  • Coach, guide, support and challenge stakeholders (OPCO HR, Country and Local HR partners and managers) on all relevant L&D aspects
  • Utilize the offers from RWU to the highest extent to the benefit of the region when relevant
  • Support GPO of L&D in the development of inhouse programs incl. RWU offerings.

L&D Tools:

  • Contribute to design and maturing RockWise Learning platform at Group level and regional implementation and maintenance support.
  • Develop and maintain Training catalogue research, select and manage preferred providers.

Onboarding:

  • Together with Group HR develop an onboarding program adapt to OPCO/local/regional environment.
  • Facilitate/coordinate/deliver new hire onboarding coordinated with Group initiatives

Performance Management:

  • Responsible to have all stakeholders in the region familiar with the performance management process and philosophy
  • Regional point of contact on improving maturity of PM for the GPO PM and OPCO Business HR

Professional Skills & Personal Behaviours (competencies):

Professional Skills - Essential

  • HRM or related Master level degree
  • 8+ years in L&D positions ideally global or regional
  • Successful track record of designing, building and evaluating L&D agenda in large international organizations
  • Proven ability in facilitating, training and coaching
  • Experience with assessment processes
  • Experience in a variety of L&D tools & approaches
  • Knowledge and experience with learning approach
  • Good proficiency level of English language, and good level of main language(s) in the respective region
  • Proactive, result and future oriented, strong communication skills, unbiased, acts independent, but also teamplayer with impact, ability to influence stakeholders without hierarchical powe
  • MS Office skills and IT savvy in general

Professional Skills - Desirable

  • Experienced with learning platform or LMS
