Mission:


To play a key role in the support to the Industrial team in human resources management function including : Industrial Relations, Recruitment, People and Organization performance, Training and development as well as overall administrative functions.

To lead change management activities and to be the Employee's voice. Customer service and solutions oriented.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for full spectrum of Human Resources and General Administrative functions including, but not limited to:
  • manpower resource planning, budgeting and recruitment
- compensation and benefits administration and review
- performance management (e.g. periodic appraisals, competency review, counseling)
- training and development, including leadership development
- internal communications and employee engagement
- talent retention and succession planning programs
- industrial relations management

  • Office utilities, logistics arrangements, facilities maintenance
  • Vendor Management including appointment, payment and performance management
- general affairs, health and safety management

  • Participating in strategic planning activities that will aid business development such as manpower planning and developing short and longterm human resources strategies.
  • Ensuring that all HR policies, procedures, and processes are up to date, legally compliant and meeting the internal control requirements.
  • Providing professional consultation on key HR issues to Top Management.
  • Align with and participate in various HR talent identification and development programs.
  • Maintaining the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
  • Preparing employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs.
  • Ensuring the planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; and counseling employees and supervisors.
  • Implementing employee benefits programs and informing employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management; directing the processing of benefit claims; obtaining and evaluating benefit contract bids; awarding benefit contracts, and designing and conducting educational programs on benefit programs.
  • Ensuring the legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, maintaining records, and representing the organization at hearings.
  • Works with the leadership team to understand and execute the organisations human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning
  • Provides support and guidance to HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialised, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations
  • Analyses trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organisation attracts and retains top talent
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirement:

  • At least 1 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
  • Preferably Managers specializing in Human Resource or equivalent
  • Possess a high level of integrity with good leadership, consultative and negotiation skills
  • Able to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization
  • Have a sound knowledge of local Employment Act, Industrial Act and other HR legislations
  • Computer literate (MS Word / MS Excel / MS PowerPoint)
  • Good understanding of related statutory legislation not limiting to Employment Act, EPF, SOCSO, and Industrial Relations
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to negotiate and persuade others are required. Have the ability to interact with all level of organization
  • Strong leadership skills with a structured thought process
  • Good interpersonal skills and resourceful in problem solving with the ability to work independently.
  • Contributes to CSR initiatives deployment
  • Experience in conflict resolution, disciplinary processes and workplace investigations.
  • Familiar with KPI setting, monitoring and review
