Job Overview

The Head of Sales (HOS) for the IT Asset Management and Remarketing business unit will champion our circular economic business model which delivers an Enterprise, Social and Governance (ESG) value proposition.

This position will be responsible to lead the team responsible for the development and growth of the IT Asset Management & Remarketing Business.

This involves working hand in hand with Marketing to deliver effective messaging to potential customers which include large corporations and the public sector whom we work with to build up a supply of used IT assets for remanufacturing and remarketing.

This position will also oversee the remarketing channels that consist of corporate end users, distributors, export buyers as well as reseller and consumer channels.

There will be active involvement in meeting prospective and existing customers and partners, sharing and solidifying the value proposition while listening and analysing their feedback for continuous improvement. The role work involves strategic as well as tactical planning and execution of programmes and projects with customers.

The position requires sound project management skills and the ability to work cross functionally with the internal operations teams to support equipment recovery and processing operations.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Differentiate our value proposition via the sustainability route while persistently advocating its salient points to targeted customer segments.
  • Develop an acquisition strategy for used IT assets for Remanufacturing and Remarketing purposes by selling managed IT Asset Disposition services to targeted customer segments.
  • Be a Sales Ambassador of Rentwise by speaking and presenting to external audiences. Building awareness of our services and solutions and successfully selling them.
  • Work with the Marketing Team to develop messaging to promote in various platform, our services & solutions – the unique value proposition and build awareness in the market.
  • Jointly develop sales collateral with the Marketing Team that are punchy, memorable with high impact to the targeted audience that will reap the maximum sales results.
  • Build a successful Remarketing & IT Asset Management team; lead the team in achieving both the company goals and their personal aspirations through inspirational sales leadership.
  • Develop and manage channel partners by bringing the values of Remarketing and Managed IT Asset Management services to them and their clients.
  • Keeping abreast of market developments by constantly reviewing, researching and analysing market trends and competitor offerings to ensure the on-going competitiveness our services and solutions.
  • Responsible for sales planning and reporting of realistic forecasts and actual performance to the management team.
  • Working closely with internal operations teams to meet committed SLAs and with the Project and Service Management Office (PSMO) to structure and implement customers relationship programmes that deliver quality and customers satisfaction.
  • Manage and set pricing guidelines.
  • To ensure all Accounts Receivables (AR) are managed within credit limits and collections are timely.

Team Development

  • Managing the performance and activities of the entire sales units, including Channel Account Managers, Client Portfolio Manager, and Sales Administrator.
  • Creating learning and development programs for the team.
  • Selection and recruitment of personnel.
  • Defining job duties, setting business goals, quantitative and qualitative KPIs.
  • Establish reporting and account management structures to manage business goals, quantitative and qualitative KPIs.
  • Weekly, monthly and quarterly reviews with direct reports to monitor and drive results to ensure both business and profit targets are met.

Other Related Responsibilities

  • Maintain and make improvement to current Remarketing's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • To work with the Internal/Outsource System Developer to continue improving the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems to enhance both internal and external usage experience.
  • Proactively facilitate best practices between all functional departments related to Remarketing and IT Asset Management Dept.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business Studies/Management/Sales/Marketing

Experience

  • A minimum 8 years working experience in a Sales or Sales Operations / Sales Management
  • A minimum of 3 years experience managing a Sales Team.
