Overview:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1.

Culinary Excellence:


  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan and execute menu offerings.
  • Ensure the consistent preparation of highquality dishes with attention to presentation and taste.

2.

Kitchen Management:


  • Oversee daytoday kitchen operations, ensuring a clean and organised workspace.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including training and development.

3.

Menu Development:


  • Contribute to menu planning, taking into account seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Introduce innovative and creative culinary ideas to enhance the menu.

4.

Quality Control:


  • Monitor food quality and ensure adherence to established standards.
  • Conduct regular tastings and evaluations to maintain culinary excellence.

5.

Staff Leadership:


  • Provide guidance, support, and leadership to kitchen staff.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to enhance team morale.

6.

Inventory and Cost Control:


  • Assist in managing kitchen inventory, including ordering and stock rotation
  • Implement costeffective measures to optimise kitchen expenses without compromising quality.

7.

Safety and Compliance:


  • Enforce kitchen safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food handling guidelines.

8.

Collaboration:


  • Work closely with other departments to coordinate events and ensure seamless dining experiences.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source quality ingredients.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Junior Sous Chef or senior culinary position.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary trends, techniques, and best practices.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, highpressure kitchen environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Creativity and innovation in culinary endeavours.
