As a Chef de Partie (Pastry) at Food Market Place, you will play a pivotal role in creating and presenting exquisite pastry delights that leave a lasting impression on our patrons.

Your flair for creativity and attention to detail will be vital in maintaining the high standards we set for our pastry offerings, ensuring that our guests experience the best in taste and presentation.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Pastry Chef and culinary team to design and prepare a variety of delectable pastries and desserts.
  • Execute the production and presentation of pastry items with precision and artistic flair.
  • Adhere to recipes and portion sizes, ensuring consistency and quality in every creation.
  • Monitor baking times and temperatures to achieve optimal results.
  • Assist in managing inventory and ordering supplies to maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Maintain a clean and organized pastry station, complying with food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Train and mentor junior pastry staff, inspiring them to develop their skills and creativity.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in pastry and dessert preparation to bring innovative ideas to the table.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen departments to ensure seamless operations and timely delivery of pastry items for various occasions.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of pastry menus, adapting to seasonal changes and customer preferences.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Able to work at Tropicana, Petaling Jaya
  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie (Pastry) or in a similar pastryfocused role.
  • Relevant certification in pastry arts.
  • A genuine passion for pastry and dessert preparation, showcasing creativity and attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and pastry presentation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and highpressure kitchen environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, ensuring timely production and delivery of pastry items.
  • Leadership qualities, with the ability to mentor and guide junior pastry staff.
  • Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and public holidays.
