Key Responsibilities:

1.

Welding Operations:

  • Perform welding tasks using various welding processes such as MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Cored Arc Welding.
  • Set up welding equipment and select the appropriate tools and materials for the job.

2.

Fabrication:

  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the required welding process.
  • Measure, cut, and join metal components accurately.

3.

Inspection and Quality Control:

  • Inspect welded surfaces and structures to identify defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Perform quality checks on completed work to maintain high standards.

4.

Maintenance and Safety:

  • Maintain welding equipment in good working condition.
  • Adhere to safety standards and practices, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

5.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work collaboratively with other team members to complete projects.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and project managers regarding progress and any issues.

Job Requirements:

1.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a certified welding program or apprenticeship.
  • Minimum of 3 years of welding experience in a manufacturing or construction setting.

2.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux-Cored Arc Welding).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent handeye coordination.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to work in various positions (standing, bending, kneeling).
  • Knowledge of safety practices and procedures in a welding environment.

3.

Certifications:

  • Welding certification from a recognized institution

4.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces or at heights.
  • Good vision (corrective lenses permitted) and manual dexterity.

5.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and shift work as needed.
  • Reliable transportation and punctuality.
  • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
