Responsibilities:

  • Investigate negotiate and settle claims independently within authority limit.
  • Handle, process and recommend settlement for approval by superior for claims beyond the authority limit.
  • Assist to implement administer monitor and improve claims workflow and procedures.
  • Verify and approve reserves on new claims.
  • Registration and/or claims adjustment to ensure the claims data processing input are accurate and maintained at high standard.
  • Handle correspondence, inquiries, complaints and respond on timely manner.
  • Supervise and guide subordinates to ensure claims processes comply with the guidelines, procedures and service standard of the Company and/or BNM guidelines.
  • Conduct regular claims review and ensure reserves are adequately provided and any adjustments updated.
  • Monitor performance of adjusters by conducting monthly meeting to resolve any issues/problems causing delay and to ensure timely submission of adjuster's reports.
  • Regular meeting with panel Solicitors to resolve issues for expedient settlement.
  • Monitor claims trend and keep HOD informed of adverse trend/areas of concern.
  • Prepare claims reports as required.
  • Manage subordinates under the unit.

Requirements:

  • Min Degree holder preferably Law degree or professional qualification in Insurance, i.e. AMII/ ACII, etc.
  • Minimum 5 years in TPBI/ Motor claims experience.
  • Experience in handling litigation files.
  • Strong verbal and written communications.
  • Good analytical, problem solving, decision making and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
