Overview:

Responsible for overseeing the asset integrity management program, ensuring the reliability and safety of our equipment throughout their lifecycle.

This position requires a strong technical know-how in material, corrosion, and inspection.

He shall also ensure appropriate risk assessment and management to be developed and maintained as to ensure license to operate from DOSH for DOSH registered machineries are effectively and timely renewed.


  • Zero major fire and explosion accidents due to asset integrity issues.
  • Maintain effective asset integrity management system stewardship and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry & company standards and prevent major incidents.
  • Assess the risks associated with asset considering EHS compliance and economy through Risk Based Program and develop risk management strategies, implement mitigation measures, and ensure assets are operated within acceptable risk thresholds.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. with DOSH) to ensure equipment fitness for service is renewed timely.
  • Conduct reporting and analysis to continuously identify and complete improvement opportunities in the facility.
  • Manage interface with contractors & third-party service providers on-site to ensure compliance with asset integrity requirements.
  • Conduct and/or participate in investigations into asset integrity accidents, incidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and corrective actions that will prevent recurrence.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive asset integrity management strategy that aligns with organizational goals and industry best practices.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential threats to asset integrity, including corrosion, mechanical failures, civil and structure defects, environmental and other relevant damages.
  • Lead and/or participate in the development and execution of Risk Based Inspection (RBI), Corrosion Circuit and Loop Study and Scheme of Inspection (SOE).
  • Develop and oversee inspection reference plans (IRP) to monitor the condition of assets, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. with DOSH) to ensure the equipment certificate of fitness is renewed in a timely manner.
  • Lead and/or coordinate investigations into asset (not limiting to static equipment) failures, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of asset inspections, assessments, and maintenance activities. Provide regular reports on asset integrity performance.
  • Maintain good working relationship with authorities and ensure regulatory requirements are met with respect to integrity and validity of certificates of fitness.
  • Stay current with relevant regulations and standards, ensuring the organization's compliance and implementing necessary changes to maintain integrity.
  • Explore and implement innovative technologies and methodologies to enhance asset integrity monitoring and management.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff involved in asset integrity activities, ensuring a high level of competency within the team.
  • Complete other temporary tasks assigned by leaders in a timely manner.
Requirements

  • Possess a minimum of bachelor's degree in related Engineering/Science discipline.
  • More than 10 years of relevant work experience, with proven experience in asset integrity management, preferably in oil & gas / chemical industry. 5yrs in managerial position.
  • Knowledgeable in corrosion and material engineering.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes e.g. ASTM/ASME/API with extensive experience in API580/581 and appropriate risk management technical standards and tools.
  • Proven track record in dealing with authorities and familiar with relevant regulations.
  • Familiar with inspection technique and tools for all types of static equipment e.g. piping, vessels, and others.
  • Familiar with inspection data management software/platform for data consolidation and analysis.
  • Vast knowledge in material failure investigation and laboratory testing.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
