Associate I (Financial / Regulatory Reporting), Finance & Strategy Department

Job Summary


Responsible in preparation of management reports and information for decision making purposes and ensure all transactions were properly accounted for and reflect the Company's accounting process.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible timely and accurate submission of full set monthly management accounts with notes to the Accounts and ensure supported by proper schedules by specific dateline set by superior.
  • To supervise the monthly and year end closing and ensure all subledgers are properly closing with the appropriate process flows.
  • Assist in liaison with external auditors to finalize the annual audit and to draft audited financial statements.
  • Assists on the preparation of interim and final audit, including finalizing management accounts, Balance Sheet schedules & expenses analysis.
  • Prepare tax estimates CP204 and CP204A with proper working supported. Liaison with tax agent and clearance all tax issues, including a sound understanding of the tax laws and ruling to enable proper tax planning and ensuring timely and accurate filing of annual submission, tax estimation and payments.
  • To check and ensure tax schedules are completed on time for submission to tax agent. This includes prepare tax schedule and update Company Tax Organizer for tax agent to compute Corporate Income Tax.
  • Assist to compute yearly budget/ revised budget/ forecast for relevant general codes expenses and income. Prepare monthly variance analysis on certain relevant general code between budget Vs actual with justification explanation.
  • Responsible to verify monthly bank reconciliation for various bank accounts.
  • To compute MFRS 9 Expected Credit Loss ("ECL") and Revenue rollover based on the report details generated by IT.
  • Key user support on general ledger module ERP Oracle TAMS, to support and involves on new system implementation or enhancement on user acceptance test.
  • Assists in any other adhoc finance and accounting assignments and other relevant tasks as assigned by superiors as and when requested.

Person Specification

Qualifications:

Bachelor/ Degree in Accounting, and /or equivalent Professional Accounting qualification in CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent

Experience:

At least five (5) years of working experience of accounting in various industries.

Experience with general ledger functions and month end/year-end close process.

External audit experience with good technical accounting knowledge (MFRS).

Knowledge:

Knowledge of Malaysia taxation and exposure in ERP accounting system environment.

Knowledge of Oracle system is an added advantage.

Skills
Proficient in both English and Bahasa Malaysia language.

Competent in using Microsoft Words, Excel, and Power Point and computer literate.

Analytical mind with attention to details and able to take own initiatives

Work well under pressure and good time management.

Able to cooperate and work with staff at all levels

Abilities
Hight integrity in perform duties.

Ability to liaise effectively with the auditor, tax agent, suppliers and all levels of employee.

Ability to handle multi-tasking and adapt to dynamic changes in business.

Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.

Able to manage, guide and lead peers.

To work overtime when required

Pay:
RM5, RM7,000.00 per month
