  • a global fan engagement platform,
  • an anime blockchain and;
  • a merchandising department that produces officially licensed anime IP products, which are sold via D2C channels

The Role

We're seeking a VP of Marketing who's not just a leader but a true partner in our journey, someone with "skin in the game" who thrives on campaign effectiveness and assumes full accountability for marketing spend. The ideal candidate will embrace a startup culture, be self-driven, and possess the drive to inspire excellence in their team.

As our VP of Marketing, you'll architect our growth strategy, blending creativity with analytics to propel our brand to new heights. Your role is pivotal, tasked with scaling current channels while pioneering new avenues for business expansion.

Job Description

  • Define, measure, and report on the performance of all paid marketing channels and campaigns, rigorously assessing ROI and KPI goals with a laser focus on new user acquisition and retention.
  • Craft a scalable growth strategy for our direct-to-consumer channels, exploring alternative sales and distribution channels to diversify our reach.
  • Take ownership of a multi-million dollar budget, expertly allocating resources and optimizing channel mix to meet growth targets while maintaining a long-term perspective and leveraging resources judiciously.
  • Lead customer segmentation strategy and attribution modeling, ensuring targeted messaging reaches the right audience at the right time and through the proper channels.
  • Drive marketing data analytics and ROI analysis, defining critical metrics such as Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) and Lifetime Value (LTV) and spearheading robust optimization and A/B testing initiatives.
  • Drive an organic growth strategy leveraging critical assets like SEO, content, and referral.
  • Oversee and manage all the company's PR, content marketing, and other releases.
  • Guide and nurture a dynamic growth team of 5-6 headcount, fostering an environment of innovation and efficiency while continually seeking opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
  • Collaborate closely with internal product, engineering, and merchandising teams to develop cutting-edge solutions that leverage performance media and emerging marketing technologies.

Prerequisites:

  • Experience: Minimum ten years of relevant experience, with at least five years in scaling B2C or eCommerce platforms, demonstrating the ability to drive significant growth and user conversions.
  • Multitasking Mastery: Proven ability to manage multiple campaign executions simultaneously, ensuring meticulous planning, flawless execution, and adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Web3 Proficiency (Preferred): Understanding the Web3 industry, including blockchain technology and decentralized applications, is advantageous.
