About our client:-
Our client is a well-established waste management company offering comprehensive waste management and public cleansing services. This aligns with the national privatization of solid waste management, implemented with the Solid Waste and Public Cleansing Management Act (Act 672) in 2011.

Job Descriptions:-

  • Streamline on communication plans and strategies to manage perception and mitigate reputational risk in line with management direction.
  • Plan and coordinate new strategic initiatives collaboration to optimize reputation & perception management including analyze and evaluate existing challenges and recommended best options to management.
  • Monitor states' government legislation/ policy activities particularly on waste management and must update and advise management about relevant policy changes, proposals and actions taken.
  • Take lead in knowing state government/ PBT concerns and working with relevant internal departments such as Operation, Logistics, CRM or others to analyze opportunities and potential impacts resulted from any policy/ activities/ tasks changes to facilitate management decision.
  • Communicates with State Leads and other relevant departments to inform them of relevant government issues that may arise any potential crises.
  • To study the organization chart, changes in leadership, potential issues/opportunities at state government/PBT and others and inform to management.
  • Serves as the principal focal point on provision of the advice and guidance including the protocol and customs from state government and other related matters with the State Leads to increase positive perception towards the company.
  • Develop, build and maintain contacts on daily basis focusing on state-working level across government agencies & its branches, state governments, and PBT to manage expectation and identify business opportunities.
  • To facilitate and support HOD on government liaison matters including attending meeting and unofficial spokesperson (should the need arises) as well as carrying any other instruction by the management.
  • Responsible for the states BAU (business as usual) performance, manpower and competency including train and guide State Leads on operational BAUs as the next-in-line successor.

Requirements:-

  • Minimum Degree holder in Mass Communication, Advertising/Media, Journalism or equivalent.
  • At least 10 years of working experience in Public Relations and Government Affairs.
  • Computer literate, particularly with Microsoft Office application and knowledge in video editing, will be an added advantage.
  • Creative thinking and innovative mindset.
  • Able to work in fast phase environment independently with minimum supervision.
  • Possess initiative with a confident and mature personality with strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Experienced in media relations, event management and CSR.
  • Good writing skills: copywriting, content creation, proofreading.
  • Good communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills.
  • Good command in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Remuneration

  • MYR 11,000 - MYR 15,000
