Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Required language(s): English, Mandarin.
  • 5 to 7 years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all level of an organization
  • Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results
  • Knowledge of employee relationship building and performance management techniques
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with other financial systems.
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
  • Location: Banting, Selangor.
  • 15 minutes from KLIA Airport.

Responsibilities:

  • 1) In charge of the accounts and its related tax and audit matters of Weng Meng Group.
2) Liaisons with internal and external parties for company banking, general affairs and secretarial matters.

3) Responsible for the Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, including:

  • Issuing debit/credit notes.
  • Preparing debtors aging reports and arrangement of monthly statement of account send to customer.
  • Ensuring the AR functions are properly carried out on timely basis for monthly reporting.
  • Posting and closing of AR module.
4) Closing of Accounts Payable (AP) and Cash Book Module.

5) Responsible for the General Ledger (GL) functions, including:

  • Preparing of fixed assets and depreciation schedule.
  • Payroll provision schedule.
  • Preparing of insurance and prepayment schedule.
  • Preparing of hire purchase and hire purchase interest provision schedule.
  • Preparing monthly reports such as P&L, KPI & other Adhoc reports for management on timely basis.
  • Closing stock entry.
  • Posting and closing of GL module.
6) Responsible to liaise with external auditors, tax agents, secretary and others entities which related to job functions.

7) Cross checking of AP entries of invoices, payment, debit and credit notes.

8) Financial Reports:

  • To ensure Financial Statements is reported timely and adhered to standards or regulations.
  • To update other necessary detailed schedules or notes to the accounts.
  • To provide analytical ratio or trend analysis.

9) Accounting systems and procedures:

  • To develop, implement and update Group Accounting Policies and Procedures, including the Internal Control or Standard Operation.
  • To ensure proper filing and documentation system.

10) Audit and tax and government:

  • Liaison with auditor and tax agent for effective audit and tax planning functions.
  • Liaison with the local authority or government for operation issues related to Accounts.

11) Budget and forecast:

  • To prepare cash flow forecast and the budgetary report.
  • To evaluate all the quantitative and qualitative factors in the assumptions/basis.
  • To ensure follow up with variances and remedy report.

12) Monthly stock reporting:

  • Responsible for stock valuation.
  • Preparing for monthly slowmoving stock.
  • Responsible for yearend stock take.
13) When necessary, you are required to perform other tasks as stipulated by Department Heads.
