Director, Supply Chain

Responsibilities:
The Supply Chain Director has direct responsibility for driving cost savings through oversight and management of supply chain team for assigned customers.
- Plans and directs the coordination of Material Cost inputs required to support proposals and present results to cognizant Site and business unit management.
- Establish and direct material programs and projects that provide specialized material planning, surveillance, budget and controls.
- Oversees prioritization of assignments and plan, budget, organize and direct flow of work to meet both internal and external expectations.
- Ensures that the Company standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all supply chain department team.
- Ensures the materials teams are educated to the applicable elements of their respective customer's contract and are compliant with respect to those elements. This includes ensuring the respective material teams are adequately adhering to all elements related to company liability management to include reporting and resolution.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and customer flowdowns.
- Accountable for adherence to supply chain and cost reduction targets, monitor supply assurance and flexibility.
- Works directly with customers and business units to gain an understanding of their system and how company and the customer's processes interact.
- Monitors and reports on raw materials inventory plans, identify issues and recommend solutions and/or take action as appropriate for assigned business units.
- Develops, establish, and provides supply chain strategy to support customer requirement and internal initiatives /goals.
- Maintains understanding of financial metrics, especially the impact of parts contribution, materials overhead, inventory levels and their impact to company financial performance.
- Collaborates with site and regional management to ensure financial objectives and other metrics are adequately managed and demonstrate continuous improvement.
- Identify and ensure supply assurance to meet inventory turns.
- Tracks and drives inventory disposition through the customer and business units.
- Recommends improvements and implement recommendations for improvements to the extended supply chain process in order to gain efficiencies in both company's processes and the customer's processes.
- Establishes key programs or projects that target specific improvement opportunities to reduce costs and lead times or increase supply dependability and flexibility.
- Responsible to develop high performance teams including interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning and assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Accountable to execute on staff development, with a focus on evaluating potential, driving successions planning and ensuring that their employees receive the development and coaching required to realize their full potential.
Job Requirements:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required; a Graduate degree is preferred.
- Minimum ten (10) years of related experience is required; Five (5) years in a leadership role is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills, both internally and externally.
- Effective multitasking skills and the ability to take on additional responsibilities as required.
- Demonstrate high attention to detail.

- Understanding of and ability to use continuous improvement tools.
- Working knowledge of productivity tools, including Microsoft Office products.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills including ability to effectively coach and mentor employees at all levels.
- Enthusiastic and motivational communicator with multicultural experience.
- Demonstrates effective customer interface skills.
- Effective negotiation and problemsolving skills.
- Effective analytical, planning and organizational skills.
- Collaborate and influence cross functional peer leaders in order to obtain support for process improvements.
- Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools (Baan, or equivalent).
- Strong presentation skills within internal and customer environments.
- Demonstrate ability to maintain strict confidence.

Salary:
RM23, RM30,000.00 per month
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
Supplemental pay types:
- 13th month salary
- Performance bonus
