Reports To:

Safety Officer, Safety, Health, Security & Environment

Role Purpose:

To implement and to ensure The Safety, Health, Security & Environment regulations are abided in Engineering & Maintenance Division and to guard and to take appropriate risk to fire in E&M

Key Accountability:

  • To take care the Fire Control Panel as per BOMBA requirement. To perform dual function as Fire and Security Warden in order to ensure E&M is safe from hazard and sabotage
  • To patrol E&M buildings and to identify possible fire hazards, unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and security violations
  • To coordinate emergency response on a 24 hours basis. E&M e.g fire outbreak, evacuation and security violations
  • To assist in promoting and enforcing safety, health, security & environment best practices and regulations in E&M
  • To standby in the event of any hot work activities in Engineering & Maintenance

Qualification & Experience:

  • SPM with 1 year of experience in MAB operational area

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Ability to read, write and converse in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Familiar with Engineering & Maintenance hangar complex and fire fighting system

Key Challenges:

  • Must be able to lead ad coordinate emergency response during outbreak of fire. This is on 24 hour basis. Must be willing to work on shift and lead the team to carry out daily patrolling
  • Safety Assistant must carryout patrolling and inspection at Hangar 5 and 6 and Industrial Waste Treatment Plant during each shift at E&M KLIA
