To plan and review Recreation Department organizational structure to achieve maximum staff utilization and productivity.

  • To ensure that the duties and responsibilities of all subordinates staff are properly defined and that each staff is kept aware of their job responsibilities.
  • To hire, train, lead and develop staff within the Recreation Department.
  • To constantly evaluate job performance of the staff to ensure that they are properly trained to provide service of the highest standards as expected of an international hotel.
  • To set up and implement service and safety standards and procedure for all sections.
  • To plan and administer a comprehensive program for all social and recreational activities for the guest.
  • To proper up keep and maintenance all equipment's and facilities.
  • To plan and review Recreation Department organizational structure to achieve maximum staff utilization and productivity.
  • There must be preventive maintenance program drawn up and regular checks conducted to ensure all the items in good standards.
  • To maintain effective communications within department by conducting monthly meeting.
  • To ensure all the staffs are fully aware of all management directives and happening in the hotels.
  • To work closely with other department for good internal relations.
  • To meet the monthly budgeted profit and losses by controlling all operating expenses an explain and appropriate actions taken of rectify them.
  • To assist the management in the preparation of the yearly forecast and budget.
  • To develop and maintain close rapport with the guest and to provide personalized service.
  • To ensure all the staffs are familiar with the department policy and procedure.
  • To attend the morning briefing daily unless is an off day.
  • To perform other tasks as direct by management for time to time.
  • To advise and update the management on any changes trends and to recommended new measures and adjust to the market changes.
  • To prepare month end report on monthly.
  • To prepare profit and loss explanation on monthly and review on P&L meeting.
  • To conducted E&R monthly meeting with staffs.
  • To provide adequate and continuous training for all staff in your department.
  • To ensure staff attend training as per monthly planner.
  • To evaluate and monitor staff progress in on the job training, probationary period and after undergoing any training / courses as well as for the annual appraisal.
  • To ensure a proper system of tracking and monitoring of departmental Annual leave and Public Holiday, other administration, grooming and staff discipline is in place as per Hotel Policies and employee handbook.
  • To ensure that employee morals and work satisfaction and development is constantly reinforced and improved upon.
  • To be fully conversant with all the Hotels Policy and Procedures.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor Degree in event management, business management, advertising or equivalent.
  • Minimum 7 years working experience in related field.
  • Strong knowledge in event management and event planning.
  • Aggressive, Creative, Dynamic and able to work independently in servicing customers and able to manage events with smooth flow & with great satisfaction.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with various stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft office & Management.

Salary:
RM3, RM5,000.00 per month
