Job Purpose
The Vice President of Cultural Transformation will play a critical role in driving the cultural transformation and integration following our recent merger and acquisition. This leader will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to foster a unified and vibrant organizational culture that aligns with our strategic goals and values. The VP of Cultural Transformation will work closely with senior leadership, HR, and various stakeholders to ensure that the cultural transformation supports our business objectives and enhances employee engagement and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Cultural Integration Strategy:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive cultural integration strategy that aligns with the company's vision, mission, and values.
- Identify and address cultural gaps between the merging entities and create a cohesive culture plan.
Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Partner with senior leadership to champion the desired culture across the organization.
- Facilitate regular communication and collaboration among leadership teams to reinforce cultural initiatives.
- Serve as a cultural advisor to executives and managers, providing guidance and support on cultural matters.
Employee Engagement and Experience:
- Design and implement programs and initiatives to enhance employee engagement and foster a positive workplace environment.
- Develop and oversee employee feedback mechanisms to continuously assess and improve the cultural climate.
- Promote a culture of inclusivity, diversity, and equity throughout the organization.
Change Management:
- Lead change management efforts to support the cultural transformation, including training, communication, and reinforcement activities.
- Develop and deliver cultural training programs to educate employees on desired cultural behaviors and values.
- Utilize data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of cultural initiatives and make data-driven adjustments as needed.
Communication and Branding:
- Create and execute internal communication strategies to promote and reinforce the desired culture.
- Collaborate with internal communications and marketing teams to align external branding with the internal culture.
- Develop storytelling and branding efforts that highlight cultural successes and initiatives.
Performance Management:
- Align performance management systems with cultural objectives to ensure behaviors and outcomes are rewarded and recognized.
- Work with HR and management to integrate cultural values into performance reviews and development plans.
Monitoring and Reporting:
- Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor the progress and impact of cultural integration efforts.
- Regularly report on cultural initiatives, progress, and outcomes to the CHRO and executive team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 12 years of related work experience with a minimum of 5 years in managerial roles
- Demonstrated track record of steering cultural transformation and integration initiatives, preferably within the banking or financial services domain.
- Profound understanding of organizational culture dynamics, coupled with adeptness in change management principles and best practices.
- Strategic acumen, coupled with a penchant for innovatively crafting and executing cultural transformation strategies that yield tangible business outcomes.
- Analytical adeptness, enabling the judicious leveraging of data and metrics to inform decision-making and gauge the efficacy of cultural transformation endeavors.
- Proven ability to cultivate and sustain robust relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
