UMAI is a software provider that helps restaurants to save time and increase revenues by automating manual tasks, minimize last minute cancellations, upsell customers more effectively and provide more personalized service.
The team has extensive experience in building internet companies and has been part of building some of the largest e-commerce ventures in the Asia Pacific Region.
Founded by the former MD of , the largest food delivery service in Singapore, and a member of the founding-team of Nova Founders Capital, a fintech focused Venture Capital firm based out of London & Hong Kong.
The Role
People are at the heart of everything we do.
With our massive plans for growth, we are looking for a super organised individual to drive support across all business functions As our People & Culture Specialist, you will play an integral role in hiring the best talents for UMAI.
Reporting directly to the Head of People & Culture, you will work hand in hand in creating a high performing team, in a culture of openness, learning, operational excellence, collaboration and innovation.
This is not a formal corporate role.We are looking for someone who has a "hustle" attitude, who is results driven, comfortable with ambiguity, is a self-starter and has a sense of humor.

- You will be responsible to prepare documentation (employment contracts, reference letters, guides, etc)and other HR operations on adhoc basis.
- Ensure smooth new employee onboarding to ensure that every new UMAI team member has a great starting experience
- Assist to drive employee engagement strategy and initiatives.
- You will be involved in the art & science of employer branding. You will enhance UMAI's external brand on job portals, social media and propose new tools to reach our goal.
- You will help your team to improve UMAI's culture by organizing team events and other initiatives.
- You will work alongside and with our Head of People and Culture and together shape the People & Culture Department and company further.
Your Profile:

If you are an experienced professional, 2-3 year experience in Talent Acquisition/ People Operations is good to have
:
- You have passion in talent scouting and talent management.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English and ability to articulate ideas clearly.
- Takes accountability, good analytical skills, with high degree of commitment and time pressure to meet deadlines and objectives.
- A fast learner and selfstarter with good initiative and a handson attitude to get things done
- Strong organization skills, critical thinking and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- A charismatic, trustworthy, and relatable team player
- Able to work independently under mínimal supervision.
- Able to start work immediately or within short notice (if possible).
