You will be supporting the Finance Manager, responsible for maintaining a SOX-compliant Finance function for Malaysia by participating in finance operations including audit and tax matters; and consolidate Finance/Accounting reporting, Budgeting and Forecasting of Malaysia entities.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting, Financial Reporting and Planning

  • Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
  • Preparation of judgemental journal i.e. payroll and accruals for review by Finance Manager.
  • Assist the Finance Manager in monitoring the daytoday financial operations within the company (payroll, invoicing, and other transactions) and ensure receivables and payables movement are closed on a timely basis.
  • Responsible for staff expense claims validation, vouching and monthly payments
  • Assist the Finance Manager in statutory financial statements, auditrelated and tax matters
  • Assist for monthend closing & yearend closing in a timely manner.
  • Assist to ensure compliance to WPP SOX internal control standards and audit requirements in Malaysia.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE & DEMONSTRATED BEHAVIOURS

  • Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
  • Ability to manage conflict and multitask across high pressure situations
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good organization and administrative skills
  • Selfmotivated, with initiative and meticulous
  • Excellent attention to detail
