Description

  • Report directly to the Vice President to oversee and lead core financial reporting functions, covering financial and management reporting, financial planning, budgetary control, treasury, funding, tax management, policy development, and financial-related legal matters.
  • Supervise and engage in feasibility studies and due diligence on potential investments, assess organizational budgets, determine the cost-effectiveness of manufacturing plants, and advise on investment impacts on the group's cash and profit positions.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with banks, audit firms, and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure the implementation of internal controls and compliance with financial, statutory, audit, and tax regulations.
  • Strategize and implement risk management practices to create economic value through financial instruments that manage risk exposure, focusing on credit and market risks.
  • Responsible for sourcing funding, assessing and applying for financing and loan instruments.
  • Manage cash flow projections, regulate payment and collection schedules for an efficient cash management system.
  • Lead periodic budget reviews with the team to assess the financial results' reasonableness.
  • Develop tools and systems to provide crucial financial and operational insights to management, offering recommendations on both strategic and operational enhancements to drive financial performance and capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Fulfill any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by management.

Profile

  • Hold a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related professional qualification. Possession of a Master's degree is advantageous.
  • Demonstrate a minimum of 10-15 years of relevant experience in a similar field.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Candidates with prior experience in financial controller or management roles have an added advantage.
  • Skilled in collaborating with bankers on funding requirements and project accounting.
  • Exhibit strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
  • Showcase sound knowledge of manufacturing financial operations.
  • Demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, motivating and developing others effectively.
  • Show aggressiveness, vision, and a willingness to take calculated risks for dynamic business growth.
  • Be attentive to detail, alert, able to identify business growth and cost-saving opportunities, and propose process improvement alternatives.
  • Possess a robust understanding of the latest accounting standards and strong reporting and organizational abilities.
