VAT is a leading international developer, manufacturer and supplier of high-performance high-end vacuum valves and vacuum sealing technology. We are looking for a skilled Service Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Service Engineer to coordinate the overall operations of repairs of returned parts from customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all products are serviced and repaired efficiently, while maintaining high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate service center daily activities, including manpower arrangement, FA, shipment, etc.
  • Ensure all products are serviced and repaired according to the service workflow.
  • Arrange for products receiving and outgoing with respective parties and customers.
  • Ensure all products undergo decontamination before arrival.
  • Update service staff skill matrix and train service technicians on new product knowledge and skills.
  • Ensure sufficient equipment, tools, and fixtures are available for daily service and repair activities.
  • Guide service technicians on FA and replication for customer-related feedback and complaints.
  • Perform servicing of vacuum valves and valve components, with timely delivery of products in required quality and at reasonable cost levels.
  • Perform functional leak tests in accordance to specification, troubleshoot and solve any leakage issues.
  • Perform final inspections and customized packaging for shipment.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement processes and maintain 5S at work environments to increase productivity and safety.
  • Maintain optimum stock levels at service centers to meet demand and delivery.
  • Properly set up and handle equipment, jigs/fixture and parts with correct programs and parameters for service assembly, test and packaging processes.
  • Accurately maintain information in D365 (i.e. Inventory, cost, quality, delivery leadtime) with accurate data entry and timely transactions.
  • Perform tasks according to procedures and work instructions.
  • Record and report service status, especially departmental KPIs.
  • Support superiors in coordinating and communicating quality issues, parts and components availability, and critical delivery timelines.
  • Perform on-site servicing or technical support to customers when required.
Requirements
  • Advanced Diploma / Degree / Master's degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics / Industrial / Manufacturing or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in similar cleanroom and servicing processes.
  • Knowledge of leak testing, store min/max maintenance, material handling/kitting.
  • Basic knowledge of quality assurance and practices.
  • Good characters for teamwork and reliability.
  • Basic Microsoft Office knowledge and experience.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Pro-active, Organized, good team player and customer-oriented.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
