This role involves managing and maintaining financial records. This includes recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and generating various reports to provide insights into the company's financial performance.

Description

Fixed Asset Management:

  • Oversee the maintenance of asset accounting master data.
  • Coordinate end-of-period processing and reporting for assets.

General Ledger Activities:

  • Execute more advanced transactional and rule-based tasks within specified time frames.
  • Ensure data quality through monitoring and peer checks, adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Address queries regarding transaction handling and explain control procedures.

Reporting Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate financial statements, reconciliations, and account notes.
  • Create analytical reports and accounting schedules, identifying irregularities and devising corrective plans.
  • Assist in providing data for audits and support the finance team in various audit processes.

Additional Duties:

  • Adhere to service levels, internal controls, and company policies.
  • Identify and propose improvements to address repetitive issues or risks.
  • Assist in project execution and escalate operational issues to supervisors when necessary.
  • Perform complex transactional tasks related to fixed asset and general ledger accounting, reconciliation, and closing.
  • Participate in the preparation and review of consolidated financial reports according to established policies and procedures.
  • Participate in SAP User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and contribute to enhancement projects.
  • Fulfill any other tasks assigned by supervisors on an ad hoc basis.


Profile

  • Degree in relevant field (Commerce, Finance, Accounting)
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience
  • Industry or shared services experience is an added advantage
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel, is a must
  • Experience in using SAP system, especially Asset Module and GL Module, is added advantage
