Major Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
  • Provide technical information on suitable packaging materials and dimensions, labeling requirements, artwork designing, and stacking calculations to meet customers' target cost and timeline and relevant industrial requirements in food safety.
  • Prepare and review artworks for inner, carton, and sticker development.
  • Lead the execution of packaging development trials at the laboratory and monitor the performance of carton and inner during actual production runs.
  • Communicate details about carton and inner SKUs, stacking configuration, and shelf life of finished goods to relevant stakeholders.
  • Work with appointed designers on the artwork to ensure it fits with company's marketing and branding schemes.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure that all packaging products meet the set requirements and specifications. Provide technical support to Marketing, R&D, Engineering, QA, Procurement, Production, and Logistics on inquiries, quality complaints, and improvements.
  • Provide recommendations and solutions on assigned projects based on data, test results, and feedback from inter-departments.
  • Identify, coordinate, and drive continuous improvement projects with cross-functional teams to generate new ideas to reduce packaging material costs and wastage.
  • Handle and investigate market and internal complaints related to packaging materials.
  • Develop expertise by delivering recommendations aligned with new trends and manufacturing technologies.
  • Ensure that the latest inner and carton MATERIAL CODE used in active finished goods are updated in SAP BOM SYSTEM.
  • Perform all other duties and tasks independently as assigned with minimal supervision.
Qualifications / Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in any field / 3 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and standards.
  • Understanding of SAP or similar ERP systems for BOM (Billing of Materials) management.
