Our client is a shipping & logistics MNC who are looking for a top notch commercial professional to join their management team.

SUMMARY:

  • Drive the development and execution of a commercialization strategy
  • Build a commercialization infrastructure and organization of the company's products and be responsible for business, revenue & market share growth.
  • Take a global perspective on market opportunities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive, develop and maintain an export & import sales strategy.
  • Build the budgets related to products and services in line with key stakeholders.
  • Meet customers' requirements and provide the best services.
  • Ensure an adequate sales infrastructure and organization.
  • Use technology and data to trace opportunities and measure activities.
  • Report key information to upper management about market trend and opportunities.
  • Identify improvement opportunities to enhance process, increase operational performance and productivity, and provide cost saving and quality service.
  • Successfully drive the commercial strategy to deliver products and services.
  • Steer the sales network by aligning, adjusting, and implementing initiatives.
  • Coach and train the commercial team to ensure high standards.
  • Ensure that SOPs are being adhered to by all departments.
  • Work collaboratively with respective HODs, ensuring that problems are rectified.
  • Build a consistent relationship with key customers and stakeholders.

QUALIFICATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Shipping industry strategic leadership experience (8-10 years) is required.
  • Extensive commercial experience in logistics and supply chain management acceptable.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Customer oriented, persuasive, and results-oriented.
  • Proven decision making and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership qualities and able to work in a highly pressured environment.
  • Proven experience of effectively managing resource budget and cost management initiatives.
  • Analytical and problem identification & solving skills.
  • People leadership and management experience.
