The IT Infrastructure Systems Administration team focuses on Installation, Configuration, and Maintenance of IT systems Software and Hardware for multi-user server computers and personal computing devices of ConvaTec employees:
Your Responsibilities will include:
- Implementation and ongoing maintenance, security, and availability of Windows and VMware infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and resolve Windows OS and VMware related incidents and problems according to customer processes
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for OS and VMware related service problems as part of problem management
- Liaise with support vendors for maintenance, support or issues resolution
- Support Windows Server based systems, system software, clustering software and system management agents
- Monitor and analyze the capacity and performance of storage and virtualization systems
- Assist in analysing historical usage for tracking and trending by CPU, memory, I/O and storage
- Review event logs on a regular basis based on business requirements
- Maintenance of physical and virtual servers (VMware), storage devices, storage network
- Maintenance and management of the server ́s backups solution (Veeam)
- Evaluate and review patches, before and after installation
- Writing/updating technical design, build and process documentation
- Work with change requests & incident monitoring system (ServiceNow)
To be successful in this role you will be:
- Curious, have a good aptitude for learning and enjoy variety, with plenty of opportunities to work with a variety of technologies and systems
- Very strong knowledge of server virtualization technologies such as VMWare and Hyper-V or Nutanix
- Ability to work as part of an international team, as well as being part of a local market team
- Knowledge in Ansible is desirable
- Strong sense of ownership and customer-focused mindset
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills, both written and verbal
