Accounting Manager

CAE is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for leading the accounting function and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records.

About This Role
  • Lead the full spectrum of accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, and general ledger.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and perform profit and loss analysis to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure proper recording of accounting entries into our systems and maintain accurate and complete financial records.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports, including operating reports, tax packages, and company tax filings.
  • Collaborate with tax and legal consultants to meet local statutory filing and reporting requirements.
  • Interface with other departments and countries to support operations and projects.
  • Maintain accounting controls by updating and recommending policies and procedures to ensure alignment with HQ standards.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards.
  • Assist in external and internal financial and tax audits.
  • Support projects as assigned and contribute to the development of the company's financial strategy.
Requirements
  • Qualified accountant (ACCA/ICAEW/CIMA or equivalent) with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working in a multinational corporation with a multi-entity/country environment.
  • Ability to handle full set of accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Confident, self-motivated, and able to operate in a dynamic environment.
  • Attention to detail and deadline-oriented.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and principles (IFRS, GAAP, SOX).
Skills and Traits
  • Computer literate with good Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong ERP and IT systems knowledge, with hands-on experience in Oracle Cloud an advantage.
  • Proficient in English, Mandarin (with ability to type simplified Chinese), and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Finance and business acumen.
