Join our dynamic Air Logistics team as a Pricing Expert, where you will play a key role in driving business growth through strategic pricing solutions.

Your Role

As a Pricing Expert, your primary objective will be to deliver against our growth strategy by ensuring that pricing support to business development is a priority and key factor in gaining and retaining volumes.

  • Pricing Insight and Collaboration: Gain insight on quoted business and share with your team to ensure appropriate pricing solutions are offered.
  • Market Intelligence and Liaison: Liaise closely and regularly with the procurement and carrier management team to stay ahead of market changes and incorporate knowledge in pricing solutions.
  • Target Customer Insights: Proactively gain and share information on target customers from a pricing perspective, keeping our procurement teams well-informed to support carrier discussions.
  • Pricing Options and Flexibility: Guide teams to present various alternative pricing options, providing development teams with enough flexibility when engaging with customers.
  • Carrier Discussions and Updates: Liaise between the pricing and procurement teams, periodically participating in carrier discussions to share deeper business insights for building solutions for our customers.
  • Trade Lane Promotions: Initiate trade lane promotions based on knowledge of market gained from our development and procurement teams to help build additional business volumes.
Your Skills and Experience
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: 5-7+ years of experience in air freight logistics, specifically in pricing, and 3+ years in a managerial role within logistics or freight forwarding.
  • Industry Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of the air freight industry, including pricing models, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • International Trade and Customs: Strong understanding of international trade laws, customs regulations, and INCOTERMS.
  • Pricing Strategy and Leadership: Ability to develop and implement comprehensive air freight pricing strategies that align with business objectives, and experience leading and managing a team of pricing analysts.
  • Communication and Problem-Solving: Strong communication skills to articulate pricing strategies and results to senior management and clients, and strong problem-solving skills to address pricing discrepancies and logistical challenges.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial principles related to pricing, including margin analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and profitability metrics.
