Role Overview: As a Senior Agency Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving agency development and recruitment efforts for a leading Life Insurer across the designated locations. Leveraging your extensive experience in the life insurance sector and expertise in agency recruitment, you will lead initiatives to attract, train, and develop high-performing agency teams. Through strategic planning and execution, you will contribute to the growth and success of our agency distribution channel, ultimately advancing the company's objectives and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Agency Recruitment and Selection:
  2. Develop and implement targeted recruitment strategies to attract top talent within the life insurance sector.
  3. Conduct thorough assessments and interviews to identify candidates with the potential to excel in agency roles.
  4. Collaborate with HR and other stakeholders to streamline the recruitment process and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  5. Training and Development:
  6. Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for newly recruited agents, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary for success.
  7. Provide ongoing coaching and support to agency teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  8. Monitor performance metrics and implement performance improvement plans as needed to enhance agent productivity and effectiveness.
  9. Agency Performance Management:
  10. Set clear performance targets and KPIs for agency teams, monitoring progress and taking proactive measures to address performance gaps.
  11. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to agents, recognizing achievements and identifying areas for improvement.
  12. Collaborate with sales managers and other stakeholders to develop strategies for enhancing agency performance and driving business results.
  13. Market Analysis and Strategy:
  14. Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments within the life insurance industry.
  15. Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities for expansion and growth within the designated locations.
  16. Work closely with senior management to develop strategic plans and initiatives to capitalize on market opportunities and achieve revenue targets.
  17. Relationship Management:
  18. Cultivate strong relationships with agency leaders, agents, and key stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor and resource.
  19. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to support the needs of the agency distribution channel.
  20. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to enhance brand visibility and foster partnerships. Qualifications:
  21. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  22. Minimum of 5 years of experience in the life insurance sector, with a focus on agency development and recruitment.
  23. Proven track record of success in building and managing high-performing agency teams.
  24. Strong understanding of life insurance products, industry regulations, and market dynamics in Malaysia.
  25. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  26. Strategic thinker with the ability to drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  27. Certified Insurance Practitioner (CIP) or equivalent certification preferred.
