Technical sales manager, food and nutrition

Main Accountabilities:

  • Service existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts byplanning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potentialsales outlets and other trade factors.
  • Effectively provide technical support to customer, including productrecommendation, technical advice & trainings and supporting customers onfield trials and cost savings analysis.
  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, suchas daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territoryanalysis.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing,products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandizing techniques.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions;preparing reports and making recommendations to management.
  • Develop and grow the commercial relationships of assigned leading industrialcustomers while prospecting for new accounts to increase market penetration.
  • Carry out visits to target customers to promote products and provide feedbackto business and suppliers of customer response and activity.
  • Manage project pipeline via CRM to drive new business opportunities tocommercial success.
  • Forecast sales to enable operations planning, introduce product innovationsand maintain active memberships

Skills & Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Food Science or other relevant education. Dairy/Meat technical experience would be an advantage.
  • 3 years of progressive experience in technical sales / commercial roles.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to liaise with people at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Strong team Player and able to work independently.
  • Excellent time management skills in order to follow different assigned task.
  • Highly organized, hands-on, able to work well under pressure, handle multiplepriorities and meet deadlines.
  • Sense of ownership and drive (problem solver, self-starter with a bias forprompt action and removing roadblocks, accountable to get things done in atimely manner). The requirements of the job will develop and change due to the needs of the business and the ideal candidate will be expected to adapt to these changes.
