About the position

  • Lead the General Ledger, Fixed Assets, and Reporting functions, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures including Business Planning and Consolidation (SAP).
  • Guide and train the team to meet service standards through structured training and on-the-job coaching.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other finance units to achieve department objectives.
  • Address General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Banking, and Treasury inquiries promptly.
  • Proactively manage issues, keeping stakeholders informed and involved.
  • Foster a customer-centric culture for a positive stakeholder experience.
  • Meet accounting goals by reviewing various financial aspects diligently.
  • Enhance cash transactions understanding for improved reporting and reconciliations.
  • Review performance reports and optimize team efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support Project Lead in new transitions and system implementations.

Qualifications and skills

  • Hold a degree in Accounting/Commerce with a Professional Accounting Qualification or in progress.
  • Exhibit expertise in taxation and advanced accounting.
  • Possess strong attention to detail and self-management skills.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in team management, problem-solving, and communication.
  • Manage large teams across time zones effectively.
  • Bring 10 to 15 years of accounting experience, preferably in Shared Services, with SAP familiarity.
