Project Description

The Bank in Singapore is in search of an experienced Murex System Analyst for their core Treasury IT team. The role involves supporting the bank's treasury division for various business operations involving Commodities, Credit Derivatives, FXD, IRD, FX, MM, Fixed Income products across different countries including Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, China, and overseas branches.

This position is part of the Global Markets Programme - Risk Project which focuses on implementing Murex v3. The Analyst will be stationed in Kuala Lumpur and will engage with users and stakeholders in Malaysia, Singapore, and other locations.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze user requirements and assist in test execution
  • Collaborate on preparing functional specifications, working closely with the development team, preparing test cases, and executing them
  • Engage effectively with project managers, developers, business users, and external vendors

Skills

Must Have

  • 3-5 years of experience in Murex Middle office and Risk modules of Mx 3.3 platform
  • Proven experience in scalable transaction processing systems within Financial markets
  • Strong analytical and logical approach to problem-solving and system development
  • Extensive knowledge and exposure to all asset classes
  • Experience with trade lifecycle across front office, middle office, and back office tiers
  • Detailed understanding of Murex Front/Middle office and Risk modules
  • Responsible for Requirement Analysis in Middle Office space for various asset classes
  • Ability to analyze product requirements, offer solutions, and support rollouts
  • Work closely with Middle Office business for requirements in VaR modules, MRAL reporting, FRTB computation, and reporting in Murex system
  • Understand business needs, identify solutions, and validate technical options
  • Prepare test cases based on user requirements, lead/assist in test execution, and obtain business user signoffs
  • Experience in Simulation views configuration for PnL and Risk views, and Front Office modules

Nice to Have

  • Experience in Value at Risk (VaR) modules, Scenario generation, Historical VaR, Stress-testing, backtesting, and PnL reporting
  • Experience in MRAL reports, FRTB Risk Charge computation and reporting, and SIMM Initial margin computation and reporting
  • Exposure to Murex 3.3 Architecture
  • Knowledge in Regulatory Reporting
