Project Description

The Bank in Singapore is seeking a skilled Senior Murex System Analyst to join the core Treasury IT team and assist the bank's treasury division across various locations including Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, China, and global branches. This role is part of the Global Markets Programme - Risk Project involving Murex v3 implementation. Based in Kuala Lumpur, the position requires interaction with users and stakeholders in Malaysia, Singapore, and abroad. As a system analyst, you will lead strategic projects and tactical changes for the bank's treasury division, focusing on Murex - Risk related deliveries for Singapore and branches. Responsibilities include gathering requirements, collaborating with vendors, and overseeing testing with end users for successful project deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze user requirements and contribute to test execution.
  • Prepare functional specifications, collaborate with the development team on functional changes, create and execute test cases (e.g., deal booking, event performance as per user requirements in SIT, UAT).
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, developers, business users, and external vendors independently.

Skills

Must Have

  • 10+ years of experience in Murex Middle office and Risk modules of Mx 3.3 platform.
  • Proven track record in scalable, resilient transaction processing systems in Financial markets.
  • Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills.
  • Extensive knowledge and exposure to all asset classes.
  • Comprehensive understanding of trade lifecycle across front office, middle office, and back office tiers.
  • Detailed familiarity with Murex Front/Middle office and Risk modules.
  • Experience in Requirement Analysis in Middle Office space for various asset classes.
  • Ability to analyze product requirements, propose solutions, and support rollouts.
  • Collaborate with Middle Office business to gather VaR modules, MRAL reporting, FRTB computation, and reporting in Murex system.
  • Identify business needs, propose business solutions, and assess technical solution options.
  • Prepare test cases based on user requirements, lead/assist in test execution, and obtain business user approval.
  • Experience with Simulation views configuration for PnL and Risk views and Front Office modules.

Nice to Have

Experience in Value at Risk (VaR) modules, Scenario generation, Historical VaR, Stress-testing, backtesting, and PnL reporting is advantageous.
Experience in MRAL reports, FRTB Risk Charge computation and reporting, and SIMM Initial margin computation and reporting is a plus.
Exposure to Murex 3.3 Architecture is beneficial.
Knowledge of Regulatory reporting is an added bonus.
