Description
- Directly report to the Executive Chairman, overseeing and providing leadership in core financial reporting functions, such as financial and management reporting, financial planning, budgetary control, treasury, funding, tax management, policy development, and financial-related legal activities;
- Supervise and engage in feasibility studies and due diligence for potential investments, organizational budgets, assessing cost-effectiveness of manufacturing plants, and their execution to offer insights on investment impacts on the group's financial position;
- Cultivate and uphold strong relationships with financial institutions, audit firms, and regulatory bodies;
- Establish and maintain internal controls, ensuring compliance with financial, statutory, audit, and tax regulations and requirements;
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to enhance economic value through financial instruments, particularly addressing credit and market risks;
- Responsible for sourcing funding, assessing and applying for financing and loan options;
- Monitor cash flow projections, managing payment and collection schedules to optimize cash flow efficiency;
- Lead periodic budget reviews with the team to evaluate financial results;
- Create tools and systems to provide crucial financial and operational insights to management, offering recommendations for strategic improvements in financial performance and business decisions;
- Handle any ad-hoc tasks assigned by the management.
Profile
- Holder of a degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant professional qualification. A Master's degree is considered advantageous;
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar field;
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills;
- Candidates with experience in financial controller/management roles will have a competitive edge;
- Proficient in engaging with bankers for funding needs and project accounting;
- Demonstrates strong commercial awareness and business acumen;
- Sound understanding of manufacturing financial operations is a plus;
- Strong leadership capabilities, capable of inspiring and developing others;
- Assertive, forward-thinking, and willing to take calculated risks for business growth;
- Detail-oriented, vigilant, able to spot business growth, cost-saving opportunities, and process improvement avenues;
- Thorough understanding of the latest accounting standards;
- Excellent reporting and organizational skills.
