Head of RTR

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Head of Record to Report (R2R) to oversee our financial recordkeeping processes. This crucial role involves ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all financial records, from accounting transactions to financial reporting packages. You will have a key role in maintaining robust internal controls, assisting external audits, and providing essential financial information to stakeholders.

Description

• Lead and supervise the R2R team, offering training, coaching, and mentorship for top-notch performance.
• Develop and execute processes for recording and reporting financial transactions, ensuring adherence to accounting standards (GAAP or IFRS).
• Supervise the closing process to guarantee the accuracy and timely completion of financial statements.
• Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable and receivable, and other financial accounts.
• Manage and upkeep the general ledger, ensuring precise and consistent recording of all financial activities.
• Prepare and scrutinize journal entries, ensuring correct classification and coding of transactions.
• Assist internal and external audits by providing comprehensive and accurate financial records.
• Analyze financial data to detect trends, variances, and potential risks.
• Generate financial reports and ad-hoc analyses for management and stakeholders.
• Maintain strict internal controls to protect financial assets and ensure data accuracy.
• Stay informed on accounting regulations and R2R best practices.
• Identify and implement process enhancements to boost efficiency and accuracy within the R2R function.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in record to report or accounting positions.
• Proven leadership skills with a successful history of team and project management.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (GAAP or IFRS).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a sharp attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ERP systems, general ledger software).
• Familiarity with internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO) is advantageous.
